Alicia Lopez, Program Assistant

Alicia is a senior studying Life Sciences Communication and Chicane/Latine Studies at UW. Her academic interests center on the intersection of science, equity, sustainability, and communication. She is particularly drawn to understanding how science and environmental issues can be communicated in ways that are both culturally relevant and accessible to diverse communities. Through her studies and postgrad, she hopes to become an environmental advocate for communities most impacted by climate change and wants to help bridge the gap between science and the public, inspiring these communities to engage with environmental issues in meaningful ways.
