    • Faith in Place partners with communities of faith from diverse religious traditions as well as people who identify as spiritual or motivated by justice but don't identify with a specific faith tradition. The organization empowers people of diverse faiths and spiritualities to be leaders in advancing environmental and racial justice, providing resources to educate, connect, and advocate for healthier communities.

    • Catholic Climate Covenant is a US nonprofit based in Washington, DC that inspires and equips people and institutions to care for creation. Through over 20 national partners, they guide the U.S. Church’s response to climate change by educating, giving public witness, and offering resources.

    • Evangelical Environmental Network (EEN) inspires, equips, educates, and mobilizes evangelical Christians in the U.S. to work toward a stable climate and a healthy, pollution-free world via initiatives, campaigns and resources for churches

  • Laudato Si Platform https://laudatosiactionplatform.org/

    • Laudato Si Platform works to take action against the injustice of climate emergency and ecological crisis with the help of 1.3 billion Catholics and all people of good. This movement started with a call from Pope Francis. They have 8000+ certified Animators, over 800 member organizations, and several chapters to help turn this mission into a reality.

    • Hindu Climate Action is a UK based organization who aims to raise awareness on the ongoing climate emergency while highlighting the importance of environmental protection in Hindu traditions. 


Indigenous

  • Great Lakes  Indian Fish & Wildlife Commission https://glifwc.org/ 

    • Great Lakes Indian Fish & Wildlife Commission is a tribal organization that seeks to protect the treaty rights of Native American tribes in the Great Lakes region. In order to preserve cultural traditions and guarantee sustainable practices, it works with tribal governments to manage natural resources, such as fisheries and animals. GLIFWC supports resource management, policy advocacy, and technical assistance with the goal of protecting tribal rights to extract natural resources and preserving the region's ecological balance.

    • Indigenous Environmental Network (IEN) was formed by grassroots Indigenous peoples and individuals to address environmental and economic justice issues. IEN’s activities include building the capacity of Indigenous communities and Tribal governments to protect sacred sites, land, water, air, natural resources, and the health of all living things, and to build economically sustainable communities.

    • Green Muslims is a D.C. based, volunteer-led organization dedicated to connecting Muslims worldwide with nature and environmental activism. Green Muslims organizes educational programs, service projects, and outdoor activities, while fostering partnerships between the Muslim community and local climate action organizations.

  • The Islamic Foundation for Ecology and Environmental Sciences https://www.ifees.org.uk/

    • The Islamic Foundation for Ecology and Environmental Sciences (IFEES) is a multi-dimensional organization that combines environmental sustainability with Islamic ideals, encouraging trust (amana) and stewardship (khalifa) via community projects, activism, and education. With programs like eco-mosques and reforestation,  IFEES is well-known for urging Muslims all over the world to embrace environmentally friendly behaviors.

  • Islamic Society of North America Green Initiative https://isna.net/isna-green-initiative

    • Islamic Society of North America Green Initiative has the purpose of creating awareness and providing guidance to make mosques/Islamic centers environmentally friendly and their practices sustainable. The Initiative raises awareness of issues of the protection and conservation of environment and the catastrophic effects of climate change through various educational means, promotes the practice of a “Green Ramadan” to reduce waste, and promotes environmental social justice.

It aims to educate both the Muslim Community and the general public on Islamic teachings about environmental justice, encouraging their application in everyday life and supporting partnerships and coalitions that strive for a just, healthy, peaceful, and sustainable future.
