Susan Davidson, Physician in Maternal Fetal Medicine, Dean/SSM Health

Susan Davidson is a physician in Maternal–Fetal Medicine at SSM Health (Dean Medical Group), where she specializes in caring for women with high-risk pregnancies. Since beginning her medical practice in 1986, Davidson’s concern about increased birth defects among children born to rural women has shaped her longstanding interest in the impact of environmental factors on maternal and child health.

Davidson serves on the Wisconsin Birth Defects Surveillance Committee, the Wisconsin Maternal Mortality Committee, and the Dane County Fetal and Infant Mortality Committee. She is also a member of the Legislative and Advocacy Committee of the March of Dimes (Wisconsin Chapter) and serves on the steering committee of the Wisconsin Environmental Health Network, advancing efforts to improve health outcomes for families across the state.
